Preliminary Study: Energy Production in Cells Increases Through Fields of Klein

The application of Fields of Klein has already led to numerous improvements across a wide range of conditions. Although the exact mechanism is not yet fully understood, a direct or indirect effect on mitochondrial function is suspected. To test the assumption that Fields of Klein influence the “power plants” of cells, Prof. Dr. Brigitte König conducted an in-vitro preliminary study. For this, the researcher and mitochondria expert used a cell model with PMA-differentiated THP-1 cells. These cells were examined using various parameters that allow conclusions about mitochondrial function.

Worth Knowing

In this preliminary study, PMA-differentiated THP-1 cells were used as a common cell model. The pre-treated cells were split into two samples (aliquots) and incubated at 37°C and 5% CO2 for 24 hours, either in the presence or absence of Fields of Klein.

After the incubation period, the following activities were analysed:

  • mitochondrial dehydrogenases (enzyme activity),
  • ATP generation (energy production),
  • membrane potential (stress resistance), and
  • mitochondrial mass
 .

During the 24-hour incubation period, cells were exposed to the stressors H₂O₂, valinomycin (causes breakdown of the mitochondrial membrane potential), or lipopolysaccharide from Escherichia coli (LPS, leads to concentration-dependent mitochondrial damage), and the respective responses were documented.

Higher enzyme activity despite added stressors

Increase in mitochondrial enzyme activity

Overall, mitochondrial enzymes were activated in cells in the presence of Fields of Klein. After 24 hours of cultivation with Fields of Klein, mitochondrial enzyme activity increased by around 20%. This increase was also achieved after adding the stressor H₂O₂. After stimulation with further stressors, mitochondrial enzyme activity increased to at least 30%.

Research sounds complicated? Here’s what the results mean for everyday life.

Demonstrable increase in ATP generation

Mitochondria produce more energy

Under the application of Fields of Klein technology, mitochondrial ATP generation in the cells increased significantly. Prior cultivation of THP-1 cells in the presence of Fields of Klein for 24 hours significantly increased the amount of mitochondrial ATP generated even after stimulation with H₂O₂ and other stressors, by more than 300% compared to cultivation without Fields of Klein.

Increasing mitochondrial number despite added stressors

More mitochondria detectable in cells

The stressor hydrogen peroxide destroys mitochondria in a concentration-dependent manner, reducing their mass. After one day of cultivating cells with Fields of Klein, however, higher mitochondrial mass was observed compared to cells without exposure to the magnetic-field technology. Overall, the results suggest that Fields of Klein can increase mitochondrial mass – even under the addition of stressors.

Mitochondria explained briefly:

The body’s own “power plants” provide vital cellular energy

Mitochondria are tiny structures in our cells that play a decisive role in our health and well-being. They are often called the “power plants of the cell” – and for good reason: their main function is energy production. To do this, they convert oxygen together with nutrients from our food into a form of energy our cells can use. This energy is stored as adenosine triphosphate (ATP). Without ATP, our cells could not function and we could not carry out physical or mental activities. They are essential for our health:

  • Energy production: mitochondria supply the energy needed for all cell functions.
  • Metabolism: mitochondria play a key role in metabolism by converting nutrients into energy.
  • Cell health: mitochondria help break down harmful substances and keep cells healthy.
  • Ageing and disease: impaired mitochondrial function can lead to various diseases and premature ageing.

The cell power plants ensure our cells have the energy they need to carry out their tasks. It is therefore important to look after our mitochondria and support them through a healthy lifestyle.

More stable mitochondrial membrane potential demonstrated

Treated cells remain more resistant to stress

It was shown that mitochondrial potential in the presence of the stressor valinomycin remains stable for longer compared to untreated cells. Typically, valinomycin has a concentration-dependent negative effect on mitochondrial membrane potential at the concentrations and incubation period used. After one day of cultivating cells with Fields of Klein, however, mitochondrial membrane potential withstands even higher valinomycin concentrations.

Results of the study at a glance

The results of the preliminary study suggest that Fields of Klein make mitochondria more resistant to stressors. In particular, ATP generation is increased by the magnetic-field technology and remains significantly higher even after the addition of stressors, compared to cells cultivated without Fields of Klein.

Our conclusion on the study

The preliminary study provides initial evidence that Fields of Klein can improve mitochondrial function. The medical technology could therefore offer a new way to support cell health and alleviate age-related and chronic health problems:

Well-being

By supporting cell health and the body’s own regenerative capacity, Fields of Klein could represent an innovative way to increase quality of life and lead to improved well-being.

Regeneration

The preliminary study suggests that Fields of Klein could promote the cells’ natural regeneration. This insight opens exciting possibilities for improving energy levels, sleep quality, and overall well-being.

Prevention

The findings that Fields of Klein could support cell health open new perspectives for the use of the medical technology in the prevention and treatment of widespread health problems, such as type II diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and circulatory disorders.
